Sometimes our engineers get a bit carried away. What would happen, they wondered, if we combined an enduro suspension bike with the power of Bosch's drive system? The result was this bike - the Stereo Hybrid 160 Race. With 160mm of enduro-ready suspension travel courtesy of a RockShox Yari RC fork and Fox Float DPS Performance EVOL shock, it's got genuine gravity-fed ability. But it's a mountain tamer too, thanks to the combination of a Shimano SLX and XT 11 speed transmission and the powerful Bosch CX drive system. Whether you're riding to the next descent or hammering the turns on the way down, this bike blurs the boundary between uphill and down. And that's a good thing.

The heart of the Stereo Hybrid 160 is its complex High Performance Aluminium (HPA) frame. Using state-of-the-art hydroforming technology, triple butted tubing and our Smooth Welding process, the chassis boasts an excellent stiffness-to-weight ratio to match its good looks. Optimised Agile Ride Geometry (ARG) gives a low centre of gravity and, as its name suggests, a lively feel on the trail. Thanks to a compact Trail Motion Rocker linkage, there's even room for a shock with a piggyback reservoir. The Bosch CX motor's Tuned Drive Position (TDP) allows for the most compact design possible at the rear, shortening the chainstays for ride-by-wire handling - while the Boost rear hub gives the rigidity that's needed to cope with high speeds on rough trails. And, as you'd expect, we've routed cables internally to keep gear shifts clean and precise, wherever your adventures take you.
